Cacao has historical connections to indigenous communities around the world who use it for a variety of celebrations and ceremonies. It’s an unrefined product of the beans used to make chocolate. Usually served warm, cacao is often referred to as a “heart-opener” as it is believed to facilitate feelings of compassion and connection. By intentionally drinking cacao, you are able to connect with your body and in this case sit with community as you deeply connect with yourself and others.
